We only work with co-manufacturers who:
  • Are 100% Italian, producing authentic, top-quality products with ingredients that are original and best in class and can be traced back to the supplier.
  • Have a clear commitment to sustainability (including production, packaging & supply chain) and satisfy the highest levels of food safety ("IFS-BRC").
  • Have the capacity and commitment to consistently deliver for our Retail and Foodservice Partners underpinned by a detailed Service Level Agreement

We work pro-actively with our customers to:
  • Monitoring sales volumes and customer satisfaction to ensure on-going customer fit. This ensures that our customers get first mover advantage and are never left behind.
  • Support product positioning and activation to maximise sales volumes.
  • Assess opportunities for product enhancements and additions to ensure that Buon-Forno clients realise all opportunities from existing and prospective customer bases.

Minimising Waste

Sustainability

  • Buon-Forno will only partner with ingredient producers, co- manufacturers and other third parties who can demonstrate a clear commitment to sustainability (including production, packaging & supply chain) and satisfy the highest levels of food safety (IFS-BRC)
  • We have appointed a Head of Sustainability (outstanding Engineer) and are investing in a Leading Sustainability Company to ensure that we are market-leading in driving measured reductions in scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions throughout our business and broader supply chain.
  • Our Sustainability Partner Company is working with Food Manufacturers and Retailers to ensure that they minimise energy usage/costs/CO2 emissions AND optimise all circular solutions to minimise food wastage.

  • Our product ranges (Pizza, Pasta, Deserts) require a minimum of human intervention at point of sale to deliver products of outstanding quality
  • Our customers minimise energy, labour and cycle times in delivering outstanding quality to customers who will demand quality without long wait times
  • Our suite of management information ensures that we deliver the volumes you require to meet demand when you need them
  • We partner with Leading International Storage and Transport Companies to create a just in time model with contingency that ensures no stock shortages or unused stock
  • The nature of our product range (frozen and/or chilled) means that products can be delivered quickly (including from frozen) virtually eliminating unsold product wastage.

  • Buon-Forno are actively involved with Food Charities to ensure that any unused produce is shared with those in need
  • Buon-Forno supports City Harvest whose mission is to reduce food insecurity and protect the planet by diverting quality, nutritious, edible surplus food from waste and redistributing it to those facing food poverty

Price and Project Management

  • All project/proposition pricing signed off in partnership with our clients.
  • Updated pricing template to ensure no surprises and that any required increases (factoring all required inflation factors) are immediately flagged to our Retail Partners and managed through to final pricing.
  • Provision for price increases clearly agreed as part of collaborative process with our retail partners. No surprises.
  • Dedicated owner/project manager ("PM") appointed to all major projects.

Manufacturing Excellence

Automation and Digitisation Supporting Artisan Production

We use leading edge equipment at our manufacturing facilities to support the delivery of individually hand-crafted pizzas.

An example of this technical excellence is where a dispenser connected to the computer injects the tomato sauce on the pizza base. The pizza maker then spreads the tomato over the entire surface with the spoon. In this way each pizza will have the correct and agreed amount of tomato sauce.

Latest generation machinery also weighs every single product before packaging and discards any if there are items below the agreed weight. This ensures product consistency without compromising our artisan product delivery.
